Well the trip to Columbus for the Boilermakers wasn't fun. While I was disappointed in our effort, and lack of emotion I never had a good vibe for this one. Yes, I know I am the always optimist and pick my Boilers, I can't pick against them. However, there are games where I just don't have a good feeling and this was one of them. Mostly for 2 reasons OSU was PISSED off from losing to Wisconsin the week before, and lets not forget we embarrassed OSU last year at our place. Both of those and wanting to prove people wrong proved to be too much for the Boilers to overcome. Should have known from the opening kickoff as it sailed out of bounds, and the first play from scrimmage a large run with a facemask penalty. D'oh! Oh well, that game wasn't nearly as important as the one coming up at Illinois. We might have suffered another blow however as Rob Henry our QB was taken to the lockerroom late in the second half with a lacerated finger. Not sure if he will back this week, or at all this season. Our luck he's probably done! So we go into a HUGE game with postseason implications with the possibility of playing a true Freshman at QB. Coach Hope did say today that Justin Siller a WR will start taking reps at QB, however he's hurt too yeah kind of the theme to the season this year. We shall see!

Who wants to be BCS #1? 2nd straight week the #1 team in the BCS goes down this time it was Oklahoma at Missouri. Look I was never sold on OU from the start, but props to Delta's Missouri Tigers for the win, still not quite ready to make them a top 5 team, but CLOSE! The new #1 is Auburn and something tells me they won't be upset this week.

Speaking of Auburn I love that the Tigers are the best team in Alabama! The Alabama fans are so arrogant, their coach is a total couchbag, and I would love to see them lose again. Sorry Cheryl, Gary, and Booya :)

What the hell happened to Texas? The Longhorns lost to a god awful Iowa State team?! Where was the team that beat Nebraska?? Still celebrating?

I would rank the Mountain West Conference ahead of both the Big East and ACC, and think that one or both of them should give up their BCS automatic bid to the MWC.

My Saturday wasn't all bad, IU and Notre Dame got their asses kicked too. It was great hearing John Saunders say "maybe Navy should considering dropping Notre Dame from their schedule and getting better competition" OUCH! That was awesome!! The Big 3 here in Indiana all lost and by a combined score of 130-20 OUCH! hmmph!

Finally my top 5, I know you were waiting with much anticaption, at least the 5 of you still reading this blog.

5- Michigan State
Gotta give it up to the Spartans, they might be a team of destiny, finding ways to win when it looks like they are dead in the water. Another tough one this week against a Pissed off Iowa team. Best think MSU ever did was let Saban go.

I really don't have any non sports stuff today, sorry. My life is pretty boring right now. However, Fall Break is Friday!
