WOW!

I just have to say I am having a FANTASTIC or PHAT-TASTIC weekend baby. For those that didn't hear, or hear me scream, the Boilermakers went to Evanston and handed the Northwestern Wildcats their first loss of the season. I just have to say I am so proud of this Purdue team, while upset over the injuries I always tried to stay optimistic but yet I was worried how we would fare the rest of the year. A lot of Purdue fans I can't say the same about and decided to jump ship, well to them I say hope ya drown! It was actually a really good game, and fun one to watch that had a lot of back and forth action. The key play was Northwestern up 17-13, and lining up for a field goal when Kawaan Short got up and blocked it. After that Redshirt QB playing for the injured Marve, led us to the go ahead score on a 4th and inches. Of course we had to hold on for dear life, and watch as Northwestern missed a field goal to tie it, but it's a win baby! While I still fear against the great big ten teams we are going to struggle, we still have an outside shot at a bowl, and yes I made fun of the motor shitty bowl now known as the little caesars bowl, this year I would take it! Here is what has to happen in my opinion, we're currently 3-2 yes that Toledo loss my bite us in the ass, to get 6 wins we need to beat Minnesota at home, win at Illinois, and close the season out beating IU. Possible, and I still feel like we have a shot to beat Michigan at home, they have NO defense. So while it was only 1 win it was a big one, and one needed badly. This Saturday is homecoming!!! While I won't be on the field I will be in the stands, BOILER UP!

As for the rest of college football
It finally happened Alabama lost, and yours truly predicted it. Not only did they lose but they got their asses handed to them by South Carolina. I am not a fan of Alabama, I like Cheryl, Gary, and Booya who are fans of them but there is just something about them that makes me not like them. I think I have finally put my finger on it, it's Nick Saban. The dude is a DICK! It was widely reported when he was in the Big Ten that he was one of the dirtiest coaches in the conference, and well he wasn't a very good one. I am not saying this out of sour grapes either we were undefeated under Tiller vs Saban with 2 miracle wins we never should have won, if it hadn't been for Saban's coaching. The guy is a douche so seeing him lose, makes me happy. Sorry Tide fans. Don't worry you're not out of the title picture yet, that will come when you lose to Auburn.

As for the rankings here is how I would rank the top 5
1- Ohio State
2- Boise State
3- Oregon
4- Nebraska
5- TCU
I hear the arguments for and against Boise all the time, and I was one against them a few years ago. I do give them credit though they are trying to beef up their schedule adding Va Tech, and Oregon State. I do agree though that if they played in any power conference(besides the Big East) they'd be middle of the pack at best. The physicality would take its toll on them sooner or later. And for those who want a playoff, what do you think the regular season is??

What a crappy move by Wisconsin yesterday, I can't believe up 4 scores with basically no time left you go for 2 and then use the excuse that's what was on the card. Give me a break change the damn card!

Non Sports
It was an amazing weekend weatherwise here in Indiana. Yesterday and today we set records for high temperatures, so Phats took advantage of it. I put up all our outside Christmas lights yesterday. Yes, you might be saying so soon, but when you live in Indiana winter can strike at anytime and it's not fun putting up lights in cold and snow. Don't worry we haven't turned them on and won't until November, but it's done! I keep hearing all these people around saying I love October, and fall, uhh not me! I don't mind fall per se but I dread knowing what's behind it, yes winter. I am just hoping we get spared a hard winter this year.

What's everybody doing for Halloween? Anyone dressing up?? Shife what are you going to be you always have great costumes? I am not dressing up or doing anything this year, as I am actually going to a wedding that Saturday. I was tempted to dress in costume for that but my friends probably wouldn't appreciate that haha! I am going stag as Kristen will be out of town, luckily I know pretty much everyone that will be in attendance. The best thing for me about Halloween is the scary movie marathons, yesterday one channel was running a Stephen King Marathon, I caught Cujo, Pet Cemetery, and Misery. Love scary movies!
