Only in Indiana....

Only in Indiana can you see a tractor parade. Yes, I saw this today at the Indiana State Fair, Nutz I didn't see you! I went with my sister, brother in law, 3 nephews, and my brother in laws parents. It was fun, I ate way too much junk though. My sister and I shared these world famous potato chips, and then of course I had deep fried oreos, and a deep fried reese cup. They had a new twist this year, you could mix in deep fried Pepsi. I passed on that, but I was tempted that's for sure. We took my nephews then to the midway so they could ride some rides. I took the twins on the Dizzy Dragon, and yes it's a spinner. I have to tell you I got a little worried when one of them said to me I don't feel good, and he didn't look good! Luckily he made it through the whole ride. My brother in law's dad and I rode a couple rides he wanted to ride the Scrambler, and this thing that is like parasailing, you lay down and take off it was pretty cool. I am still pissed they didn't have the zipper though. So, it was a good HOT day at the fair, and now summer is officially over.

I am starting to think I am the only person in the world over the age 14 that doesn't have a cell phone. I have never had one, and if I can help it never plan on getting one. I absolutely hate talking on the phone, and try to avoid it if I can help it. Also, to me it's just one more way of people being able to get ahold of me, and well no thanks. I understand why people have them that use them ONLY for emergencies or to get free long distance, but I don't call LD. What irritates me is to see people talking on them ALL THE TIME, in the mall, in the grocery, at the park, sporting events, and of course the car. I just love watching the car in front of me weave back and forth as they take several different calls on their cell. I doubt I will ever get one much to Cher's disappointment, but I guess never say never.

Hard to believe we are only 13 days away from Purdue's opener at Toledo, I can't wait! This clip is quite possibly the biggest play in Purdue's history. It was the year of the rose bowl, and Drew Brees had just thrown a pick that went the other way for 7 and losing us the lead. I have never heard the stadium errupt like it did when he hit Morales in stride for the TD in this clip, and as the added bonus you get a "Holy Toledo" from Musberger. Luckily I was cheering this game on the sidelines, and will never ever forget it we went crazy! I would also like to point out that we beat BOTH Ohio State, and Michigan that year.
