Merry Christmas to all, from Phats

I thought I would write a quick post before the Holiday season hits us like a ton of a bricks. I just wanted to say to you all, each and everyone of you,

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I hope that you all have a great holiday, and get everything you want. I am not sure when I will have time to post again with a ton of family obligations starting in about 10 mins ugh. Make sure you all enjoy your time off, and have a great and safe holiday season.

On a sad note, I would also like to talk about what happened yesterday. For those of you who don't know Tony Dungy(the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts) lost his 18 yr old son yesterday. He killed himself in Tampa. Such a tragedy, and my heart goes out to the Dungy family especially at this time of year. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

That's all I got so,
Nutty, Frank, WMY, Hostess, Fiona, Mike H, Dana, Mr. Shife, Shannon, Spygal, Cher, Seahag, Steph, Avery, Bruno, TGP, Design Goddess, Skii, Chad, Izzy, Josh, Michael, Big Mama, Mr. Morris, Future, Princess Enforcer, Gareth, and any lurkers who might read this and not comment
Have a great Holiday
From- Phats (this counts as a christmas card)

Jingle All The Way!!

I can't believe Christmas is almost here!!! I'm done with all my shopping and feel so good. Today I'm leaving for Missouri. I'll be back next week. I can't wait to see my family, especially my grandparents!!!

Work has been super busy and I'm so glad December is almost over with. I'm tired of patients asking if they can have their surgery done in December. I laughed at this one and told her December is over basically, where were you the entire year??? People, I sware.

This week we had our little office pitch-in and gift exchange. I was sooooo excited when I opened my present from my secret santa. She remember me mentioning I needed the Lisa Simpson ornament to complete my Simpson Family for my Christmas tree. I screamed with delight when I opened my gift to see her!!! My family is complete!!

Well bloggers....have a happy and safe Christmas!! (sorry if I offended you with the word Christmas)!!

Phat Tuesday's Christmas Style!

Well, first off the 2005 blogtournament is over and we have a champion, Congrats Cher on your big win over Mr. Shife. Mr. Shife as runner up you will take the crown if Cher is not able to fullfill her duties, or if she goes vanessa williams on us and poses nude. Cher's reward is, she will be deciding the topic for the first Phat Tuesday of 2006 so be thinking of a topic. Before I get to this Tuesday's topic I have to say I have had the best night of my life, because I got to talk to not one, but two legendary bloggers, none other then TGP and Mike H! HELLO, someone pinch me! Yes, these two are just as fun and crazy on IM as they are on blog, it was so much fun talking to the both of you. GO CANUCKS! Psst TGP did I get what I was suppose to say right, and when do I get my check?

Now on with the show, as Christmas is fastly approaching, only 5 more shopping days to get me something from my list. I thought to get into the Christmas mood today I would list my 5 favorite movies, and 5 favorite Christmas songs. So here goes lets start with movies

1.) Christmas Vacation -- this is by far the best christmas movie. The fact that I have seen it probably 15,000 times and still laugh hysterically should tell me something. It's a family tradition we watch this, we have the movie pretty much memorized. I love the griswalds! god bless you clark.

2.) A Christmas Story-- The old red ryder bb gun, you'll shoot your eye out. if you haven't seen this movie you have to watch it, it's a Christmas staple. Totally the best part is when the kid sticks his tongue to the flagpole what an idiot!

3.) Miracle on 34th street- Any version of this classic is great, I still love this show, make fun of me if you must

4.) The grinch- the real people version not the cartoon. Just watched it the other day love this movie, especially with funny lady Molly Shannon.

5.) Emmit Otter's Jugband!! I freaking flipped out over this show as a kid, if you didn't see this you are so missing out. Sadly I don't believe they show it anymore, so I suggest downloading it, it's so good.

Christmas Songs
1.) Jingle Bell Rock- I love this song, I don't know why haha. I have a funny story that goes with this song. My Soph year in HS I had this solo in our swing choir show, yes I was in Swing Choir laugh if you must. Anyway we were doing a show at Union Station in Indianapolis, and we always had kids from our school not in the choir play the characters, and my friend Stacey played Frosty. Well, Frosty has to roller skate in this show, and the stage at Union Station was SLICK! So, I am singing and she comes out during my solo, and she totally bit it BIG TIME, and I started to laugh but recovered, but all was pretty much lost when she kept trying to get up and couldn't, it was funny, I guess you had to be there.

2.) Sleigh Ride- I love this song, and I danced to this song in swing choir(yes again) with my first love Ehrin :) we don't like Ehrin now though.

3.) O Holy Night- I have always loved this song, since I was a kid.

4.) Silent Night- Gotta go with the classic here.

5.) Where are you Christmas- From the movie grinch, by one of my all time favorites Faith Hill. The music video is cool too. :)

So there you have it my list of 5's now it's your turn, tell me your movie and carol favorites! Incase I don't blog before then everyone have a safe and happy HOLIDAY!

Phat's Christmas Wish List 2005

Alright so here it is the long awaited Christmas Wish List of Phats. Now these are expensive so the best thing would be for all you bloggers to go in on it together and get me one of these :) Design Goddess needs to be excluded she is getting me something else, I will show you later.

Here is the first thing I would like to see under my tree on Christmas morning. These go in order of importance so this is the best you could get me. I already know what Seahag is going to say about this, "the only taste you have is in your mouth" For those not in the know this is the incredibly talented and incredibly cute Carrie Underwood season 4 winner of American Idol. She is racing up the charts with her single, and her album currently sits atop the country chart. Isn't she cute :)

Lets see what else would I like? Oh yes, I would like a new car to replace the crapmobile I drive now, and to show you how important a new car is here is the piece of shit I am driving now. BTW I am not picky as long as it runs, and has a radio, oh and the roof doesn't leak!

Another option that always is good is MONEY! This could be a really cheap gift because you could always knock over a bank or something. Seeing as how a lot of you are superheros it shouldn't be too hard.

Finally we have what miss design goddess is getting me for Christmas, so I hope none of you early bird shoppers got me this already. Design Goddess is getting me a new pet to add to my collection, I introduce you to, Chilly Willy. For those of you who don't know this about me I LOVE PENGUINS! For some reason I have always been fascinated by them, so here is what Design sent me via fed ex, with tons of airholes.

The image “http://www.ryu.titech.ac.jp/~ysep/student/ysep2004/present/melbourne/phillipisland.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

So there you have it my list for 2005, I expect to have these gifts from you all by Christmas morning sitting under my tree. Since I shared mine how about you tell me in the comments what you are asking for this year? Maybe Santa Phats will pay you a visit, but don't count on it most of you have been bad this year. Hope you all have a great holiday season, and be sure to check out this week's Phat Tuesday as it will have a holiday twist to it. Oh yeah I won 100$ last night in a karaoke contest go phats go! :)

Silly Blondes...

Two blondes were up in the far north woods, out looking for a Christmas tree. They were all bundled up from head to toe, carrying their hatchets and a coil of rope to tie on and drag it back. They had thought of everything. They were all set..........but they couldn't find the right tree. They searched for hours, slogging through knee-deep snow. The wind was blowing and the wolves were howling, but they persevered. Had to get that Christmas tree. Finally, as the sun was beginning to head downward, one turned to the other and said, "That's it! I've had enough! The next tree we come to, we're going to cut it down............... whether it's decorated or not!"

Random Stuff and Oh yeah I got tagged.

Hello again, I was doing my normal sweep of the blogs I read and saw that Mister Frank the Tank had tagged me d'oh! Since it's part of my oBLOGigation I am doing it, although this one is kind of hard. I will be tagging 5 people, because it's only fair and I don't want 5 years bad luck. Those of you who complained, TGP, last time, TGP, will so be getting a tag TGP! So, without further ado on with the show. The tag is five weird habits.

1.) When I get nervous or anxious I will pick the skin off my lip until it bleeds. this is a nasty habit that I really wish I could break.

2.) During the national anthem at basketball/football games when cheering, I would rock back and forth on my feet thru the entire song, drove my mom nuts! This is something I still do today.

3.) I have a habit of setting out everything I need for the next day the night before. That way I can sleep longer,

4.) I have a bad habit of itching insect bites until they bleed(I am seeing a theme here)

5.) I leave my television on when I go anywhere so I won't have to come home to a quiet house.

Here is who I tag
Spygal- you'll make these funny, now the pressure is on
Shannon- you and spy are like a set and if she gets something you probably have to get it too or you'll throw a fit
Fiona- You tagged me once, so I am tagging you, I never heard you say no tagbacks
Steph- I am interested in your weird habits that's really all I can say ha
TGP- yes you complained last time so here is your big chance!
The rest of you are spared again.

I must give spygal a public apology, you see I sent her my picture, and in turn she made a shrine to me and posted it on her blog. However some girl flipped out on her in her comments, and she feels it was one of my groupies. So, Spygal I am sorry that I am so hot that random girls on blog don't want to share me, you've seen me you don't want to share me either do you, DON'T ANSWER THAT! Next topic, I sincerely hope Batty is doing well after her big procedure if you didn't read about it check it out, she is Princess Enforcer in the links. Batty, please get well soon!! Design Goddess hope you did great on your test, or at least passed, and I want my damn penguin! Other shout outs will have to wait til next week, sorry Shannon your check bounced.

Lets see, as some of you know as part of my job I have to go to Girls High School basketball games, and boy did I get to see a doozy Tuesday night. What an incredible atmosphere it was for a mid december game, you would have thought it was tournament time. For those of you who don't know or follow sports, high school basketball in Indiana is HUGE, rent the movie Hoosiers it captures it to a T. So on Tuesday our team, the Lady Kats(ranked 5th in the state) were playing the #1 team in the state and it was a great game. Our gym seats 6000, and i'd say at least 4000 were there for this game, and boy was the crowd into it. The star for our team was playing with a fractured finger, had two fingers taped together and probably shouldn't have been playing, but she nearly led us to a victory. Down 47-43 she missed a free throw singlehandily got in the lane and tipped the ball to a teammate, only to get it back and drain a 24 footer with 20 seconds remaining to make it 47-46, sending the crowd into a wild frenzy. However the final three point attempt came up short and we lost 49-46. I admire this young lady who played with the fractured finger soo much, she has ice water running in her veins and is so damn clutch. She might be the best competitor I have ever seen play ANY sport. She is taking her game to the next level next year as she accepted a college scholarship, by the way she scored 20 in the loss.

Lets see what else can I share, hmm. I finished my Dean Koontz book I was reading, "by the light of the moon" it was good however I would have totally written a different ending. I started "Dust to Dust" by Tammy Hoag tonight, 200 pages in it's pretty good, I am having a hard time putting it down. I guess that's the sign of a good book. I have to thank my sister since she sent me a bag full of Hoag, Cornwall, Brown, and Gardener books. Can't wait to read them all!

Well, that's all I got, next post I will be showing you what I want for Christmas so you will have plenty of time to shop for it. Have a great rest of the week!

Finally some ramblings of my own before I sign off. I have been emailing with spygal from the links, seriously she is a very cool lady, however I am going to warn you about giving her your email address. Ever since I sent her an email I was recently added to an adult sextoy fetish newsletter, and the Indiana rep is named Ms. Spygal. Hmmm! New topic for Phat Tuesday's next week, already picked out, here is a hint it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ba da da.

Have a great Tuesday guys!

Back from the doc

Well, I made it thru another 1 year down at IU med center, I am back at home and ready to sleep. For those of you who don't know I thought i'd give a little history of what I go thru with my medical condition. Most of you know I had a kidney transplant in 1989, as my father donated his kidney, well ever since I have to get blood work done to make sure everything is stable and okeh. When I first got out of the hospital after the surgery visits were frequent, as I had to go twice a week, and that was so taxing on my parents. However as my counts continued to be stable the visits decreased to 1 a week, 1 every two weeks, and once a month, to finally where I am now at once every three months. It was nice that after about 2 yrs of driving the hour south to Indianapolis the transplant coordinators gave me the go ahead to start getting my three month blood work done in my hometown and they would fax the results, and I would only have to go to IU Med Center once a year to see the doctor.

I remember most from the beginning the bruises on my arm from getting shots so often it was bad, it looked like I was beaten in the arm. Thankfully I don't get those anymore. For some reason I get super nervous when I go down for my 1 yr check up, I am not sure why. I think it has something to do with the fact that if they see something wrong they have the capabilities to keep me, whereas getting just labs in Ktown if I don't hear anything I am good. Today was very quick, as it wasn't very crowded. I got right in to be weighed, blood pressure, and temperature, then to the next room to wait for the coordinator and the doctor. They both came in quickly, told me my counts are stable and they were not going to change anything and wahla let me go :) It was relief. I stopped for some lunch on the way home, and just got back. Thank you to all of you who kept me in your thoughts today I appreciate it.

On to better things, Purdue picked up a HUGE win last night in women's basketball as the #24 Boilers topped previously unbeaten #10th ranked Notre Dame 65-54. Way to go Ladies keep it up! Umm some people on blog are too uptight, hello it's a freaking blog GET OVER IT! I am posting a picture for Mike H. He requested to see the picture because it looks like a post card he got so I hope you enjoy it. Lets see, Spygal I need you to take this quiz please, I know you have taken it but it will send me your email. That way I can send you my ugly mug, you can make a shrine to me, and yes I still want that DOLLAR DAMN IT! Most of you other people have taken this so feel free to skip it :)

The Snow Is Coming, The Snow Is Coming!!!

Indiana is under a "Heavy Snow Warning". It is supposed to start snowing sometime this afternoon until early this morning!! YEAH!!!! I'm a dork I love snow. I hate the idiots who can't drive in it, but I love it. I love walking out in the mornings and it is sooo quiet but the interstate is right there. I love the snow in the trees. But I hate yellow snow. Anyway, they are saying 2-4 inches!! woohoo!!!!

Hello Bloggers!

So it's been awhile since I posted something. Work has been driving me nuts lately. I can't wait for December to be over with so I can get some down time at work.

As you all have read from Phat's post, we had a blast in The Region this past weekend. If you haven't looked at my pictures, you better
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nutterbutter/sets/1511655/. I had so much fun in Chicago and I'm such a loser since I've never been before and it is only 2 hours away. I think one of the best parts of the trip was the dude flipping Jenn off. I was watching him wave his hands every which way and then his middle finger goes up. My mouth opens and I laugh so loud at the idiot, he probably heard me through the window. On a sad note, my card game is still MIA and the reward is still available (a White Castle crave case) for anyone who finds it.

Well I better get back to work!! I'll leave you with this video clip I got in an email. I actually busted out laughing at work!!

Phat Tuesday's!

Alright kids we're getting down to the nitty gritty in the blog tournament as four blogs advanced to the final four tonight! Once again thank you all for voting, and congrats to the winners and to the losers sorry bout ya! We had a first in the blog tournament tonight as there was a tie between Mr. Shife, and Princess Enforcer at 12 votes apiece. Now, had Seahag followed the rules and voted for just one or the other this wouldn't have happened, so please vote for just ONE person this week. To break the tie I used two tie breaker procedures, the first was a simple best of 3 coin toss. Batty was Heads and Shife was tails and Shife won 2-1. To be fair I did a second tie breaker procedure, by asking a friend of mine to guess a number between 1-10. Before he guessed I assigned Batty 2, and Shife 7, the number was 5. So, shife won both tiebreakers and hence advanced good match up you two! On to the FINAL FOUR!! Oh yeah, I thought of some possibilities of a prize for the winner, hopefully whoeve wins will enjoy it. Make sure you vote in the comments, and as always you may vote more than one time. If you are afraid of upsetting someone simply vote 2 times and pick the opposite of what you chose the first time DUH! Spygal, do you still hate me :(

FINAL FOUR

CHER vs Seahag

Mike H. vs Mr Shife
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!

Other notes: this is a very stressful week for me, for a couple of reasons. A.) Doc appt 1 is tuesday, B.) doc appt 2 is Thurs which is my one year down at IU med center, and C.) doc appt 2 stresses me out to no end, because they have capabilities to keep me. I don't feel anything is wrong but you never know, just keep me in your thoughts all week please, I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Road trippin' with DA NUT(for the Chicago Folks)

Ahh back from a weekend road trip to see my bestest buddy. For those of you who don't know Nutty and I took off for the weekend to go up to the region, Schererville to be exact, and stayed with my friend Jenn AKA Dirty Pop. We took off Friday night from Noblesville, and stayed til Sunday(today) getting back to our neck of the woods around 5ish. So, here is the trip details, I hope you all enjoy. By the way anyone who asked me a question on the last entry AFTER I left I answered your questions. I want to wish Gareth a Happy Belated Birthday, he's 30, how old is that in Leprechaun years? Oh yeah, I wanna welcome Frank the Tank into the Dawg Pound, check out his link, he's a Hokie! :) On to the trip report.

A little background for those of you who don't know, Jenn is my best friend probably in the whole wide world. We met back in 97-98, we were set up on a date but we pretty much knew we were destined to be friends instead. She nows lives up in the region with her boyfriend Ryan*more on him later*. So we got there, around 7ish and it was already really dark it's nuts. Oh yeah, we rocked out on the way up there to Mike H's Mix CD thanks Mike H! I thought of Skiingred as when we left Noblesville we were in Eastern Time Zone, when we arrived at Schererville we were Central Time Zone, without leaving the freaking state. As we rolled into Schererville Nutty and I both were getting excited over signs we saw, those pictures will be coming soon. Nutty also got extremely excited to see the oakridge boys will be in concert there next week, anyone want to take her? By the way the people up there are obsessed with the name Aladdin, half their businesses were named Aladdin this or Aladdin that, alright so Roll N On! We finally made it to Jenn's place, and lugged all our stuff in and it was time for the fun flask!

We pretty much put our stuff down, hugged, I opened a christmas present and then it was LIQUOR TIME, except for yours truly. We decided, we being Nutty, Jenn, Ryan, and myself to play some games, and Nutty brought this cool card game Dutch Blitz with her. Unfortunately at the end of the trip it turned up missing, so we posted a picture of it on the back of a milk carton! We started that and I was the only one NOT drinking and it seemed I had the hardest time catching on haha! I finally won a hand and Ryan said next game. So, next came Catchphrase. Nutty and I were teammates vs Jenn and Ryan. The first round went quick as Ryan gave clues and Jenn never guessed them hahaha. To Jenn's defense the clues weren't that great. Nutty and I got three pts that way, and then Nutty and I resorted to a little cheating. Curlin' Merlin! As the two of them chatted back and forth Nutty was telling me the word and we were kicking their asses! hahaha. we rock. By the way Nutty, it rhymes with Ruler. We played a dice game as well that Nutty cleaned up on and pissed Ryan off that she won, and then the night turned a little crazy. After taking some uhh crazy pictures, Jenn decided she was hungry. Well, I am the only one sober however I can't drive because I never travel with my glasses. She was hellbent on getting food so she was going to walk to get it! Nutty of course says oh i'll go too, but wasn't willing to change out of her PJ's so jenn said sure but you can't go inside haha. The rest of the evening plans were pretty much calm, we watched Elf and then passed out. Nutty am I leaving out anything?

Saturday morning of course Nutty and I are up, and chatting up a storm and evidently we woke Ryan, and he was pissed cuz we were being too loud. Sorry boutcha chump, next time get up and entertain your company! haha. It's kind of funny since they were not up either Jenn or Ryan, and Nutty and I had both been up and gotten all ready for the day we decided to skip out to go to McDonalds(Don't go to the old looking one there it sucks!) well we returned and ate and they STILL weren't up! A funny thing happened when we went to McDonalds but I must leave that out, sorry. Finally when everyone was up we chose to drive to Chicago, Nutty has never been. Ryan elected to not go he had plans he made previous to us coming. We had so much fun in Chicago, Nutty was like kid in a candy store. She took a ton of pictures I assume she'll post them on her flickr account. Wait til you see ChinaTown! Other then being really cold it was great, we got to see all the christmas lights and decorations. We went and saw the Marshall Fields window displays, and the large tree, and took a trolly ride about 5 times ha. As we were trying to leave Chicago and making our way out we were waiting at a stoplight. Not anything unusual, but the policeman was letting us go but this person didn't see him and started walking. Well Jenn(she was driving) got into it with him, she started pointing at the cop, and he started pointing at the crosswalk, and right as Jenn turned her head he flipped her off. Of course Nutty and I were laughing our asses off over this. Last impression of Chicago, like visiting wouldn't wanna live there, and those people honk their horns WAY too much. I will be going back to Chicago in like a month. Sat night just did dinner at a Mexican restaurant, took more goofy pictures and watched a DVD and turned in early due to everyone being tired.

Finally today, we again got up and got ready and waited for them to awaken, and Jenn was the first to sprout while Ryan stayed asleep. So, Jenn, Nutty, and I headed out into the SNOW, yes we got snow Saturday night BLEH! We went and got some pictures SPECIFICALLY for the blog, as well as had lunch as Scoops mmmm so good. Unfortunately the hot waitress wasn't working. While out I bought a present for a blogger, I will not say who though, and we took a picture JUST for Gareth, and a picture JUST for Seahag! I bet you all are excited. After getting back we said our goodbyes hugged, and we were off. Overall a great trip I love seeing Jenn she will always be my best friend. I worry about her though for certain reasons. It sucks that the guy she is dating doesn't like Nutty or me, and had to act the way he did, but oh well life goes on right! As long as I still get to talk and see my friend I don't care. Thanks Nutty for being my trip partner we had so much fun! If I left anything out be sure to let me know so much happened.

Don't forget voting ends for this round of the blog tournament on Monday night, you still have time left to vote. That's all I got. I am leaving you with an inside joke from the trip, so only a few people will get it.

Bye Elmo!

You write my blog today.

Alright bloggers I have writers cramp, or some kind of cramps anyway, and I have no clue what to write about. So, here is the deal I am going to ask each of my link buddies a question and you answer them for me in the comments, and in turn if you have any ?'s for me feel free to ask as well. Sorry if these ?'s are corny or dumb, but like I said I got nothing!
For those of you complaining about the blog tournamnet GET BENT! it's just a game.

WMY-- If you weren't a wonderful waitress, what would your dream job be?

Hostess-- If you won 10 million dollars in the lottery, how would you spend it. (buying gifts for Phats is an option)

Fiona-- Do you enjoy living in Idaho? If a tourist were coming to visit what are three things they should see.(sorry i don't think i'll be coming but you never know)

Mike H-- You have been hired to start a new hockey team anywhere in the world, where would you locate the team, what would be the team nickname, and you may choose from anyone in the NHL who would you take as your #1 draft pick?

Dana-- Name 5 good reasons living in Indiana is better then living anywhere else(this is a big challenge i'll be impressed if you can do it)

Shife-- If you were granted three wishes by a magic genie named Hoff, what would your three wishes be?

Cher-- Would you let someone tattoo their company name on your forehead for 1 month if it meant you got 1000$?

Shannon-- Do you have a theme song for your life, if so what is it?

Spygal-- If you could have any super power whatsoever, what power would you choose and why?

Batty-- When you were a kid what did you dream of being when you grew up?

Skii/Chad-- How did you two kids meet, was it love at first sight?

Gareth-- If you could pick any of the 50 states in the US to live in which state would you choose and why? *Canada is not one of the 50, although they think they are.

Seahag-- Where do you see yourself in 5 years? If married was I invited to the wedding?

Steph-- If you could do your life all over again, would you change anything about how you have lived it so far? Also, would you ever run for a political office?

Bruno-- Have you ever visited the US, if so where?

Avery-- Your question is like Mike H's, you have been hired as a president of a new NFL team. What city will you be located in, team nickname, and what 5 players from the NFL except for Kansas City(don't want you to have to choose from your players) would you draft for your team to get them started?

TGP-- what simpson's character do you most relate too, and why?

Design Goddess-- If you decided not to go back to school for ID what do you think you'd be doing right now?

Nutty-- Will we ever figure out exactly who Mullah is?

Have a good weekend you all, I am heading up to the region with the nut to see my friend Dirty Pop, I am sure there will be tons to blog about when I get back!
