Emotionally, and physically DRAINED

Yeah, we lost to Oregon 32-26 in double overtime, and Phats is depressed so who the hell is going to cheer me up? All in all it was a great day at Ross Ade Stadium Saturday, they were saying 70% chance of showers and we never got a drop! Nutz went with and we packed all our rain gear, and never had to pull them out so that was good. Anyone watch the game? First let me tell you I don't like Oregon and I hope Duck's Boise State Bronco's KILL them this week. If you didn't watch the game we scored on our second play from scrimmage sending Ross Ade into an absolute frenzy, and took a 20-6 halftime lead, still didn't feel good but felt like we could do it. Here is where it all went wrong.
1. Our QB throws a pick right before halftime, leading to a field goal for the Ducks to make it 20-6 rather than 20-3
2. 4th and 1 from our own 45 sure it's risky but go for it Tiller, it's not like you're protecting your job, and if we don't get it we're still up 20-6. Instead we punt and they return it to the house for a TD.
3. Score tied 23-23, we're driving with time running out. We have 1 time out get down to the 27 of Oregon, and choose to run the time to 2 secs call the timeout and try the game winning field goal. Our kicker misses a 44 yarder bad. I would have liked to see them either try for the endzone or get more yardage then call the TO.

As for the guest picker, Cher, she did a great job this week, doing a very respectable 9-5

It's no surprise we lost we haven't beaten a ranked team since 03, and we lost this one in typical Purdue fashion. That being said I am encouraged that we were the better team on the field for most of the game. I also like how after they came all the way back and tied it we responded and retook the lead. It was a tough loss, and we better regroup fast, hopefully I will have my voice back for Saturday's game.

Other observations
Sure it would have been nice for the Big Ten if OSU could have won that game Saturday, but it was also nice to see them get their ass handed to them, because I hate the Suckeyes. That being said Penn State or Wisconsin will win the big ten mark it down.

Travis, I am just waiting for Nebraska to play someone it sounds like 2 weeks we'll see how good they are for real, although I am not sure Va Tech is that good this year. Should be a good game.

Cheryl, I am glad I don't have to pick on you and that Bama cruised! I know how you hate close games. Did you see your rivals score? 3-2??? what the hell?

I hate Notre Dame, and their superiority complex. So, they basically get a gift wrapped win from Michigan, and their players are squawking about respect after the game. I didn't see the game, but I read about it and Notre Dame had 14 points on 9 total yards. Michigan self imploded, I really hope Michigan State pounds the domers good this week, and shuts up their arrogant fanbase.

The weekend wasn't a total wash, Carlos Zambrano pitched a no hitter tonight for my CUBBIES!!! The brewers lost two widening the NL Central lead for the Cubs. Is this the year the curse is broken? I sure hope so man
