BOILER UP!

Alright sports fans, it's that time of year, yes my favorite time of the year COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON!! Yes, most teams have started, but for me it's all about my beloved Purdue Boilermakers. Season opener is Sat at Ross Ade vs Akron the mighty Zips. I have my season tickets in hand and I am so ready to go I can't freaking wait! I love Purdue football, and the odd thing is I have loved it since I was a little kid when they truly sucked. Purdue football used to be miserable like the big ten doormats, and they hire this guy named Joe Tiller, and after losing to Toledo in his first game I thought damn it here we go again. However the very next week we beat those crybaby ass losers from South Bend that's right the weakling irish from Notre Dame. Joe Tiller is in his 8th year at Purdue, and since we have gone to 8 straight bowls baby, and yours truly has been to every single one, and hopes to make it 9. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Florida bowl. To me there is nothing better then college football, the atmosphere, the bands, the cheerleaders, the fans, the drunk fans, the tailgating, you just can't go wrong, and you can relive your college glory. So to say I am excited for Saturday is probably an understatement. Nutty will even tell you that when Purdue is playing away(I don't get to many of the away games) she knows never to call when they are playing, because I will be PISSED! So, a look at the mighty boilers this year, we are #13 in both the AP and USAToday poll going into this weekend. There are soo many high hopes for this year because we return pretty much everyone, especially on defense. Tiller is going to go with the spread option attack this year on offense which will be different, just hope we can hold onto the damn ball. I still cringe when I think of the 4th quarter fumble last year vs Wisky. The schedule sets up nicely, Ohio State, and Michigan rotate off, and Michigan State and Minnesota rotate back on, so great trade off there. The only bad thing is the road trips are far this year, looks like the only one I will make is to see us kick the IU Hoosiers ass as usual, and retain the old oaken bucket. Last year I got to the Notre Dame game, ILL game, and Northwestern game which were all on the road.

My take on this first game, it won't be close at least it shouldn't be! Akron lost a pretty good QB to the NFl, and I don't see them challenging much. We need to hold onto the ball with this new offense, and be able to move it effectively, and use the sell out crowd to our advantage. Hopefully are freaking kicker will have learned how to put it thru the uprights this year, and get us some three pointers when we stall. My prediction

I am sure this bored most of you, so for those of you who can't get enough of my everyday life, some news and notes. Our tennis teams split the girls team won 3-2, boys team lost 0-5. The big story was we were done at 6:15 and had to wait 30 mins to leave because our bus driver took our bus and went and got dinner and wasn't back! She gives me her cell number I called 5 times and never got thru, so I was stuck babysitting 14 kids UGH! Lets see, my nephew Caden turned 1 this past Wednesday, and we will be celebrating his birthday Sunday. They had to change the day of the party because I will be at the Purdue game Sat. I am such a brat. My foot is better but not completely healed, but soon! Oh yeah, Janelle won Head of Household on Big Brother can I get a woot!?
