Lots going on

Well, this Sunday for me was like Christmas because it was Selection Sunday, and we officially know the field of 68 for this year's March Madness. I am sure you're all wondering where did the Boilers end up? After having to wait a long time because we were in the final bracket Purdue found it will be a 10 seed in the Midwest region traveling to Omaha Nebraska Friday to take on St Mary's at 7:27. This will be a TOUGH match up but I like our chances, for one St Mary's is not a big team and those are the teams we struggle against, and 2 we have the nation's longest first round winning streak. I think it's going to be a CRAZY tournament and I can't wait til it gets underway. I have sent out emails to all of you for the bracket contest hoping you will all play. As always it's free and if you win you get a prize. Rules will be the same each person will pick just 1 region and the four winners will then advance. Looking forward to it!!! I will need all your picks back by Wednesday night.

It's mind boggling that Monday I will start tennis practice. For those that don't know I am a HS girls tennis coach, and we start our practice tomorrow. Luckily they are calling for awesome weather all week with the exception of rain. I know the girls are hoping no rain because that means finding a gym or hallways and running! I think we're going to be a pretty good team this year we have high expectations. Last year was the most successful season in our program's history as we set a school record for wins, one the 2nd ever sectional, and the first ever regional. Unfortunately I lose 6 of my 7 girls from that team, and the one that returns tore her ACL in the semi state round of our tournament last year. She has struggled to get back to form so hopefully she'll be ready to go.

I have found a new author that I absolutely LOVE that is Harlan Coben. I went to get a shot and took a book with me one day and I started up a conversation with my nurse and she got to telling me about his books. I have to say I am glad I got that shot because she turned me onto a great author. He writes murder mystery style, but one thing I like is his characters recur quite abit. His one series centers around a sports/entertainment agent named Myron I am getting ready to start a new book in that series next. Definitely check him out if you like the style of Patterson it's very similar.

Looks like we made it through winter with very little damage this year. I have to stay to mother nature I am sorry for all those obscenities i threw at you last year. We have not really had 1 major snow storm and it's been very mild. I was definitely worried since I remember on Nov 28th we got a HUGE snow that took our power out but it was warm the next day and that all melted. Hopefully I am not jinxing us and now we're going to get pounded over spring break or something Ha!
