First off, for all you non sports fans out there don't worry non sports posts will be back soon! At least posts that aren't pre-dominantly sports. Anyway we are moving into the finals for of the Phat-Tastic bracket challenge, and we have our four region winners. Also, I want to take this time to say THANKS!! Everyone who entered this year I think this might be the most people we have ever had join so I really appreciate it, you guys are seriously the BEST!! I will be bugging you all again to guest pick in a few short months for college football.

This came down to Travis took Illinois, Duck and Gary didn't or they would have tied.

As for the tournament itself it was pretty exciting this year, lots of upsets. Our Boilers were one of those upsets but I don't feel so bad now watching Tina's VCU Rams heading to the final four!! We are now holding our breath to see if Matt Painter bolts for Missouri, our coach was apparently offered A LOT of money so we shall see. Here is your final four incase you're interested

As for our local HS team, we lost in the state championship game. As sad as it was what a ride they took us on this season, especially the last three weeks. Just to recap to win the regional we hit a buzzer beater 3 pointer in DOUBLE OT!! To win semi state we hit a buzzer beater 3 pointer. So pretty exciting season! I was so happy to see a tradition continue as well. When the Kats have made state in the past in boys or girls a small group of Seniors dribble basketballs from KHS all the way to Conseco(or where the state game is being played) That is just shy of 60 miles!! They had a police escort as well as 2 vans of parents making sure they stayed safe the entire trip there, and they did make it. They left KHS at 3:30 pm and got to Conseco at 12:45 am a great tradition continued! Here is a picture right before the 2nd half started of the our quest for a state title.
