Well 2010 has certainly started off great
First off hope everyone had a great holiday, and a Merry Christmas. If you didn't see already I gave some of you gifts don't make me take them back though! I had a great Christmas, got tons of clothes, books, DVD sets, and CD's just what I wanted. Phats is happy. The worst part about Christmas is the day after when it's over and you realize no more gifts, and your break from work is almost done, how bad is that? Sometimes I am ready to go back to work boy I sure am not ready this year I think that's a bad thing who knows, I still have 2 days and I am going to be lazy and enjoy them.
I don't think I could have asked for a better start to 2010 sports wise. My Purdue Boilermakers ranked #4 in the country took on fellow undefeated and #6 ranked West Virginia at Mackey Arena today and what a game! The Boilers not only won they won convincingly trouncing the #6 ranked team in the country, the final score was 77-62, however before we shut it down we were up by 25 pts. Now I am a diehard and I never expected that, I expected to win but WOW that was fun. I was fortunate to be there in attendance, and let me just say I have witnessed Mackey rocking, but holy cow was it rocking it today, and oddly enough(and totally fitting) the roof blew off the joint in the first half over a DEFENSIVE play when our star Junior Robbie Hummel forced a 5 second call, I still get goosebumps thinking about it. So we now stand 13-0 and we have 2 wins over teams that were in the top 10 when we played them. Next up we go back into conference play and take on a talented Minnesota team at Mackey on Tuesday, and I for one can't wait. Bring on whoever we'll take on anyone!
College football is almost officially over, and today was a big game. I missed most of the games and that sucks because there were some really good ones, but I have been watching highlights. First off you Big Ten Bashers WHAT NOW!? YA that's what I thought, OSU gets a great win over Oregon, PSU beats supposed power conference team LSU in the mud, Northwestern should have won but their kicker got hurt. I am proud of the Big Ten, and I think Iowa will win as well since the ACC is awful. Although I do owe Topolk and the ACC an apology I said they were the worst conference, I think the cellar resident is now the Big East, Holy Cow what happened to those teams, don't get me wrong though the ACC still sucks. Want to say good luck to Cheryl for the big game Thursday and a ROLL TIDE!
That's really all I have, I am tired first from a late night on New Year's Eve, and then we went out to night after the game I am thinking sleeping in for sure tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great and safe holiday, and got everything you wanted!
BOILER UP

You should join me in figuring out how to retire by Monday so we can keep enjoying break. :D
I thought of you yesterday when I saw the big win. (And by that, I mean read about it. Not actually saw IT.) Congrats! Happy New Year!
Really BIG wins for the BIG 10!!!! I know BAMA will win on Thursday no matter how much bashing they are getting from TEXAS people! I am not a BAMA fan; however, I will always root for an SEC team!
I know my Vols took a beating, but the Bearcats took a bigger one at the hands of Crybaby Tebow and Company..... Let's just run up the score..... and their coach...come on.. retire, not retire, take a sabbatical. What's up with that?
Have a blessed 2010!
The Big Ten did great!
LSU had a really up=and-down season and I never could quite figure them out. I was cheering them on...I stick with my SEC teams! LOL
Purdue looked AWESOME the other day!! I told Gary, "Phats sure is happy right now!" They are my bball team for the year, if it's okay that I've adopted them?
The big day is almost here. I'm SO excited and nervous that I can hardly stand it. Roll Tide!!!!
Yes indeed the Boilers are rolling in hoops. The only team they might have a problem with is Michigan State but I think Purdue is too tough this year. And I hope you got see the highlights of my Vandals. What a game Phats. It was awesome. Doesn't make up for 10 years of agony but it certainly helps. Hope you are adjusting to getting back to the grind after your nice long break. Take care.
Roll Tide Roll!!!
13 National Championships and counting!
