Pizza Pizza

Well, the bowl bids have been extended post season play now begins. For the Boilers we will head north to Detroit and play in the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl vs Western Michigan out of the MAC conference. This is good and bad, first the good it's close so we can drive and that means I will be going woohoo! Second, it's a much more winnable game(although we could easily lose) than where they were predicting. The bad the weather call me a spoiled but bowl games should be in warm destinations who the hell wants to go to Detroit, or Idaho for a bowl game?? Maybe I was spoiled my four years I got to go to San Antonio twice, Tampa, and Pasadena. Most experts had us going to the Ticket City Bowl down in Texas, but what they didn't see happening was Penn State not being wanted by most big ten bowls. Northwestern at 6-6 actually jumped PSU for the Houston bowl, and then ticket city chose the Lions over us and Illinois. That is OK with me for starters it would be a match up nightmare for us playing Houston. I can't believe some of the comments from Penn State fans, and players about Houston being a high school team.

As for other bowls, some good match ups I think the Stanford/Oklahoma State match up might be better than the national championship game. I am not sure what the Sugar bowl was thinking, well I know what they were thinking money, when taking Virginia Tech??? Seriously the ACC was not that good this year not sure they deserved a second team in the BCS games I felt bad for both Boise State and Kansas State.

I will be doing a bowl pick em contest and I hope all you guest pickers this year will join me!! What I will do is I will have you pick your team's game, the Purdue game, and the National Championship game. No prize for this except pride I save giving out a prize for the march madness contest.

This weekend didn't start off so hot for Boilermaker sports, on Saturday the men's basketball team traveled to #11 Xavier and played amazing for 30 mins unfortunately the game is 40 mins. After leading by 19 with 9 mins to go we couldn't hold on and lost. Lets just say I was in a BAD mood. However, it was great to see our volleyball team who is the #5 National seed advance to the sweet 16 for the second straight year, and then today our #16 women's basketball team beat #4 and defending National Champ Texas A&M. So, the weekend rounded out pretty good.

AMAZING RACE SPOILERS ROCKET IF YOU HAVEN"T SEEN IT DON'T READ :)

Down to the final 3 on the Amazing Race, and I like all three teams. Although lately Marcus and Aramani have been getting on my nerves, so they are probably the last team I want to win. How about the way the snowboarders got eliminated?? They were in first and just took off, although both Ernie and Cindy, and Marcus and Aramani got lucky in that they were headed the same place the snowboarders were at, but the cabbies all talked. So, in that I was glad Jeremy and Sandy who might be my favorite team, won the leg. Should be a good finale. I am ready to send my audition tape in, who is my partner Rocket?? Shife?? Duck??

Anyone started their Christmas shopping? I actually have my nephews and my mom done!! My sister and I went out black Friday and I got the nephews an Xbox so I am excited for them to open that. What's everyone going to get me?? haha I went out with friends Sat night our town put up a big display on our fairgrounds for the first time ever and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. My friends wanted to walk thru it, even though I am pretty sure you weren't suppose to but I am glad we did. When we got to the end the dude taking the money laughed and said I have never seen anyone walk thru before! After that we went to this house in another town that has a huge display where their lights are synchronized to music. It amazes how they do that, and I wonder what their neighbors think??

So kind of a crazy here the local high school swim teams set out the other day for a meet that was 2 hours away about 10 mins from the school the girls coach noticed something wasn't right with their driver. Boy was she right the driver was DRUNK at 8am!! The coached called the school they had her pull over, and thank god those kids were moved to the boys bus and got there safely, the bus driver ignored the school and drove off after they had the girls off safely and was arrested. This is sad, and scary especially being a coach we trust these driver's to get us there safely we shouldn't have to worry that they might be drunk

I have been playing words with friends lately, I like it but I found out my aunt CHEATS so I am no longer playing her haha. WTF getting on a scrabble cheat site to play?? Doesn't that take the fun out of it??
