Weekend Wrap
Well another funfilled Purdue sports weekend for yours truly. Before I do anything else, another big thank you to Mr Shife for being the guest picker this week. The final stats were

Well, another bucket game is in the books and another P will be added to the bucket. It was an ugly game with a capital U, but a win is a win. In the first half alone there were 8 total turnovers 4 by each time. Maybe the oddest play I have seen all year happened as well. Our running back fighting for some extra yards fumbles, the IU guy picks it up is running close to taking it in gets to the 20 and that is where it gets weird. Our WR never gave up on the play punches the ball out of the guys arms it goes thru the endzone touchback Purdue. Crazy! We played one of our worst games since August, IU played the game of their life and we still won by 9, 28-19. The best part about this win, we keep them home for the holidays HAHA LOVE IT! Now it looks like we are headed to the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, since Iowa lost. BTFU!
The Friday night before the bucket game we had a mens/womens basketball doubleheader in Mackey Arena. The #12 ranked women opened the night by absolutely drubbing #23 Washington(sorry egan) 88-64. Then the men took the floor and took on Western Carolina, and it was no contest. It's nice for the men to get some easy wins since they are playing in the Maui Invite this week. Purdue's women returned to action tonight playing #16 Baylor in the finals of the WNIT and impressively defeated the Bears 69-55. Baylor has only lost 2 times in Non Conference play under Kim Mulky so a great win! Also did I mention that IU lost to Butler in mens basketball? HAHAHAHA!!!
So, is everyone ready for Thanksgiving? My relatives got into town Sat from Georgia, so today I spent the day with them. We took the grandchildren picture, took about 20 pics it seemed like. Long day! I don't like Thanksgiving, so I hope this week goes fast. I love Christmas though.
That's all I got for you have a great week! The song is little big town, "bring it on home" one of my favorite songs at the moment. I thought about putting up www.memory for Fearless, because that is his favorite song, but maybe another time ;)

Congrats to Purdue on their win this weekend..My Eagles are OUT of it this year with Mcnabb gone..this sucks! Ughhh!

P.S. I totally understand why you dislike Thanksgiving, but remember you have a lot to be Thankful for, and one of those things/people is your father.. glad he was there for you..so enjoy it, ok? *Smile*
After visiting a few blogs in the last few days that autoplay songs as soon as you open the blog, I hate the autoplay feature. I think it's fine to post a song you like, but forcing everyone who comes to your blog to listen to it is just rude.
I love thanksgiving, but just for the food.

Okay, I do NOT want a Ohio State/Michigan rematch. I've already seen it and, yes, it was a great game but they already played it and OSU won it! I want to see if someone else can beat them--and, of course, I'd love if it was someone from the SEC. (But I doubt that that will happen; everyone wants a rematch or USC, so . . . yuck! Sorry, I'm SEC Biased and that probably really irritates you. LOL!!!)
So glad you made it through your grandkids picture! Cmon now, you can survive Thanksgiving. Gotta love all that food!!!

Cheryl- My only reason for the rematch is, they are the best 2 teams in the country. the only teams from the SEC in the running are Fla and Arkansas and both of them would get KILLED to OSU or UM. SC beats ND and UCLA they have no choice but to put them in the title, game even though not sure they desreve it. As long as it's not ND.
Well, Phats, the Hogs lost so they are essentially out of it(actually, they always were and Florida is probably the best team in the SEC right now and I would love to see Florida play Ohio State.)
I actually think they'd hang pretty well with them!!! Sorry, again . . .that's my Southern bias talking. But at least I'd like to see it!!!
Actually, after watching the USC-Notre Dame game last night, I think that a Ohio State-USC game would be a really good one!!! USC looked really good!! And, yes please, no Fighting Irish!
