On the upswing
AHHHH
I have been pretty sick this past week, no nothing life threatening just the flu. Although at times it felt life threatening. Last week I started coughing and thought here we go, but it got a lot worse than just a cough. Monday night was laying down on the couch watching TV and I started just burning up on my head, but had the chills everywhere else, and then it happened the barfing started! I threw up probably 10 times, and promptly went to bed. Obviously called into work the next day(tuesday) and pretty much slept the entire day. So, stupidly since the puking had ended I tried to work Wednesday, and by the end of it I felt like I was on death's door, so took a half day Thursday to rest some more. Finally, I am on the upswing just a nagging cough and a crazy sounding voice but I think I am back to my old self again.
I feel bad that I haven't blogged, or visited blogs lately so since it's a new month I have decided to make a great effort in blogging more. I just haven't really had anything too exciting to write about, especially since some of you don't like sports all the time. So you have my promise to be a better a blogger from now on!
I was trying to think of good things to talk about, and one of my favorite things is obviously TV.
American Idol- OK so who is watching? Of course we are here!! Love it, I know some people don't like the early auditions but I love them they make me laugh, and just think if we don't get those we miss out on Pants on the ground! My problem is I have a hard time remember the good people when it gets to Hollywood week, which I believe is coming I can't wait. I also love how everyone likes to rip on Idol, and try to bring it down by saying things like it's starting to fall blah blah. Uhh if 30 million viewers is a downfall, I think Fox Broadcasting will gladly take that. So far the women seem to be more impressive than the men, but we'll see. I am glad they are going back to the old format in the semi finals of 12 girls and 12 guys until they have 6 of each left. You get to see them and get to know them a lot better that way. I am also anxious to see how Ellen does when she finally starts during Hollywood week, for the guest judges so far loved Kristin Chenoweth, and Neil Patrick Harris they were awesome.
The new Amazing Race begins Feb 14th, can't wait for that, that is probably one of my all time favorite shows and would love to run it sometime. Apparently Jeff and Jordan from Big Brother are on this edition, which will be great, because I loved them on Big Brother and will add some comic relief since she's well kind of an airhead. It will be interesting to see how they do.
Here's what I hate about TV why do shows take weird times off? Our new favorite show, and one of the best shows on TV is Glee, yet it's done until April. THAT SUCKS! For those of you not watching this show you really should check it out, it's pretty much AWESOME. It's on Wednesdays at 9 provided fox keeps it there when it comes back in April. Right now it's riding a high of winning best comedy at both the Golden Globes, and SAG awards, so hopefully this break hasn't hurt it, and the music is amazing.
AUSTRALIAN OPEN
I love the Aussie Open mostly because it's a tough major because of the elements, who can play in the heat and not wilt? Anyway it was great to see Roger Federer my all time favorite player win yet another grand slam title, beating someone who I feel it's just a matter of time before he nabs one in Andy Murray. On the womens side, sure I am not a HUGE Serena fan, but for the USA I am glad she won, plus I have never liked Henin. I don't know something about her, maybe it's all the illegal coaching she gets, or her hand incident with Serena at the French Open a few years back, just don't dig her. Love Kim Clijsters though, but man she took a BEATING down under. Now a few months til Paris can Roger defend at Roland Garros. Also I love the Aussie Open, but I can't stay up til 3:30 am to watch the final, sorry thank you Tennis Channel for replaying it all day!
SUPER BOWL
Anyone got big plans for the big game? Hopefully you're all cheering for the New Orleans Saints, WHO DAT! My boy Drew Brees is going to tear up the Colts secondary all day long. It's funny I live in Indiana, and I am NOT a colts fan. I don't like Peyton Manning, I don't believe he walks on water like most people here do. My sister called me a hater for cheering on the Saints, but technically Indianapolis is not my home team, because I do not live in Indianapolis! So I hope you all root really hard for the Saints, plus how cool would it be for the city of New Orleans to win this thing?!
FINALLY
The NCAA tournament is coming up, I really hope I can count on some of you again to play in my annual bracket challenge. I know I have been MIA from blogger lately, so hopefully you'll remember me and take a few minutes and do it :) You can ask everyone who has won I give out cool prizes haha.
That's all I got have a great week
