Hard to believe another college football season is almost over but that is the case kids. This is the final pick em of the season for football, I have chosen all the bowls where bloggers teams play as well as added some others. Each picker was given three games to pick lets see who wins! This will be a long post so I am getting right to it.

Orange Bowl- Virginia Tech Hokies vs The Kansas Jayhawks Guest Picking Skiingred and Tina
Phats- Hmm wasn't Missouri suppose to be in this game? Too bad they weren't it might have been competitive. The Big 12 is the most overrated conference in the country and Kansas is the most overrated team in the country. JaySquawks get exposed big time

Phats- This is an interesting match up, mostly because Wisconsin always plays well in bowls. I have never been a fan of UT, maybe it's that damn Rocky Top. So, I am going with Big Ten pride Bucky Badger Baby

Tiggysmum- This game will be a close one again for the Vols. Both teams are strong and come from strong conferences. Eric Ainge is not going to have the same type of game that he had in the SEC title game. Fulmer head coach of the Vols will have him ready. This will be our Offensive Coordinators last game, he's heading to NC to coach Duke next year. This team will want to give him a WIN and go out with a BANG!

Phats- I am still not sold on the big 12, but this could be a chance for them to get a bowl win. UVA lost to I believe Wyoming didn't they? But must have rebounded because they are playing on New Year's Day. Give me the Cavs in a squeaker

Jef- GATOR BOWL!! That's where the masked rider made his debut. As such it will be a sweet homecoming for the Raiders. If you haven't seen the leach machine offense or played against it, it's tough. Howie Long's kid is one to watch for, but Raiders put 52 on the Cavaliers who only score 26

Fuzz- The Raiders are a high flying mega-scoring dynamo with the best damn receiver in the country and he is a freakin' freshman. The Cavaliers are a straight up boring old fashioned team. Watch out this one could seem like a basketball score from a game played between the San Antonio Spurs and a Midget Wrestling team.

Phats- Angel I don't like this match up for your Eers, this could be a long game. WVU choked it's chance to play for the title game, and even though this is a nice BCS bowl, they won't be happy to be here, Boomer Sooner scores early and often.

Phats- The Holiday Bowl traditionally is one of the better games of the year, but I am sticking with my the Big 12 is weak platform, and the Sun Devils could easily have ended up in a BCS game, in an instant classics, ASU nips the Horns

As a Boise State fan, I'm happy that they managed to get out of their hometown bowl game, but this is a pathetic matchup. I've never even heard of this barely bowl-eligible East Carolina team.

Tiggysmum- This game is going to be a tough one to pick. If you look at LSU's stats hands down they should win. If you look at the heart of their young backup QB played with in the SEC title game LSU should win. Heck the game is in their backyard so they should win. BUT I see the great OSU defense rattlin' this youngin's cage and getting him out of sync quick and easily. If LSU's vet is healed I can see OSU's D putting him back on the sidelines. This game will be extremely close it will not be a blowout. It may be a repeat of OSU's game vs Miami and 4 OT's a game of field goals and TD's unless OSU is hot from the start then let the Buckeys roll. My pick OHIO STATE 27 lsu 24 GO BUCKS BEAT THOSE CAJUN TIGERS!!
Jef- The Ohio State University and dem Tigers go at it in the title game. Tigers I believe have more of a home field advantage as if people were still left in Louisiana. Plus I like Harry Conick Jr So Tigers upset OSU.......... LSU 27 ohio state 17
Fuzz- Whoop a di doo! More likely BFD! The way things have screwed up this year, I wouldn't doubt that LSU could pull it out and be a National Champ with 2 loses. Shife- Can I hit the snooze button on this game? How about a mulligan and we get a do over? OK both of these teams interest me about as much as attending a plumber's crack convention. This game is played inside where football is not meant to be played. I need a third reason to really drive the point home that I will not watch this game. Hmm let's see. How about this I hate sugar(not really but I can't think of any good reason's right now)

Duck- The Big One - For some reason I can't stand Ohio State and their little sweater vest wearing coach. I also don't think too highly of the people I know who happen to be fans of "The" Ohio State University. All of this may be clouding my judgment, but I think that LSU is the better team. I don't think I'm going too far out on a limb with this one, but we'll see. I also stand by my earlier assessment of Ohio State's mascot as being one of the lamest in the land. Any team who's mascot/namesake is a nut doesn't deserve to be the national champs.

Phats- You can't tell me that the NCAA wasn't drooling over this match up for one reason and one reason only money. Ohio State travels like no other team in the country, and LSU gets to play in their back yard. Also the Suckeye fans who don't attend will watch in mass generating good ratings. This is OSU's second chance and they will make up for last year in a close one. I hate the SUCKEYES but I have to stick with my fellow big ten teams

Duck- This bowl's apparently a rematch. Purdue beat Central Michigan 45-22 earlier in the season when Purdue was winning games, and I don't see any reason why this game should turn out differently than that one. I think Purdue will chip away at the Chippewas... I couldn't resist the lame pun, sorry. Oh, and just for the heck of it, I'll say the final score is exactly the same as their first tilt, because I like it when stuff like that happens.

We were once 7-2, and that ref from the PSU game was at least fired thank god. So, we played CMU once killed them, and I wouldn't be surprised to see us either struggl mightily and win it in the end or possibly lose. I am going with a narrower win than the first time around, but still a win.

I survived

Well, kids I have 2 posts left for you before we ring in 2008 this one, and the bowl special. It's time to post this one though. For those of you who don't know the Phats family got some bad news to start 2007 and to be honest I wasn't real sure how I was going to make it thru a week let alone an entire year, but I did it and you know what I am damn strong if I do say so myself. So much shit happened and it happened so fast it was all surreal. It was personal and I chose not to share the incident on this blog, and I am not going to now but I do want to say thank you. Alot of you had no clue what was going on yet you still sent me emails or IMs to see if I was OK, that was appreciated and you guys rock. Jenn and Nutz you two are my best friends and I am not sure how I would have made it thru this year without the two of you, thanks for everything!!

Alright I don't want to get too mushy, I am just happy I made it thru the year when I thought getting thru a week was going to be killer. So, I want to wish everyone who reads this blog a Merry Christmas or happy whatever you celebrate. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday season. Just to share with you our family tradition, and maybe you'll share yours in the comments. Christmas Eve we will all pack up and head to my sister and her husband's house, and we'll make cookies and as soon as their little ones (twins 4, youngest 3) go to bed the adults play games and watch movies. Then we all spend the night so we are there in the morning when the boys wake up to find what Santa has brought them. I love this tradition, because I love spending time with my sister and brother in law we get along so great and I just enjoy being around them. This year we have decided that on Christmas Eve the adults will do a yankee swap exchange, and I am still having a hard time trying to find something to give. Luckily I still have some time. So, what do you all do for Christmas?

I just wanted to let you all know especially you Cheryl, who was talking about how warm it was, that we are currently under a winter storm warning, and they are calling for 10-16 inches of snow tomorrow GREAT! Have I ever mentioned I hate snow. I'll be doing the College Bowl Pick Em entry on the 20th, so if you were a guest picker this year I need your picks, I have most of them though! Hello all,
How is everyone today? It's been wacky here in Indiana. Last night some of us got ice, today we're having thunderstorms interesting weather I tell ya. I am so tired I slept til 1 today soundly, and enjoyed every minute of it. Yesterday I finished my Christmas shopping, then came home and played 5 sets of tennis ugh I was so tired when I got home. However, I did finish ALL my Christmas shopping woohoo!! What are you all getting me??

So, how about this college football mess we have? I have to admit I was rooting hard for Oklahoma, and Pitt to win so that Ohio State would play for the title again. I had no idea both WVU and Missouri would choke. I don't know if you all remember this but yours truly predicted OSU would play a SEC team with three letters starting with L for the national title. Wow, looks like that will happen now. Should be a good game, but I give the slight edge to LSU. I betcha anything television is relieved it's not WVU vs Missouri since that wouldn't bring in the ratings that OSU vs anyone would. Also, I don't think Hawaii belongs in the BCS whatsoever, they have not played ANYONE, their best win was over Boise State and that was at home. Their schedule is a joke, the WAC is a joke, and if they get a BCS bid they will be a joke. Still have no idea where the Boilers are going, alot depends on if the Big Ten gets 2 BCS teams or not. If they do, it looks like the Insight Bowl in Phoenix AZ, and if 2 don't get in the BCS looks like the Armed Forces Bowl in Texas. Either way I am not making the trip this year, just not possible. By the way all you guest pickers this season will be hearing from me as soon as all the bowl match ups come out.

Anything going on with you all? I am going to get right to all your blogs here after I finish this, I know I have been bad lately. I just keep saying to myself a couple more weeks and I will be on Christmas Vacation!! WOOHOO!!! Wow it's pouring!
