Busy Busy
Wow, I feel like I haven't blogged or visited blogs in a long time so I decided to write tonight. Our tennis season is in full swing we are three matches in and so far it's going just OK, with a lot of room for improvement. Here's what I hate about schedule the girls are on spring break for a week, we come back and that Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday we play 3 straight matches and they are all conference matches. We didn't start off great we got swept by our conference rival to open 5-0 however and this is no excuse they were definitely better than us, we are VERY young and inexperienced and it showed the first time out. We looked like deer caught in the headlights for almost all the first sets. The next night was like a complete turn around didn't quite win but played better lost 3-2 came down to 3s where we lost 6-4 in the third after 2.5 hrs. Finally got a win Thursday 5-0 which I think we needed for confidence purposes so I am pretty happy with them after a week the talent is there, the effort is there, and they are starting to get experience. When I say we're young and inexperienced of our 7 varsity players only 1 has any varsity experience. My 1, 2, 3 singles girls are Freshman, Soph, Soph so we're still learning to win and they haven't hung their heads so I am excited about our potential. This week we play Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday so another long week at the courts!
So, anybody reading anything good? I just finished another book by Harlan Coben he is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I am looking for new authors if anyone has any suggestions! I am excited the new James Patterson murder club book is set to come out here in May so I am looking forward to that. Saw the Hunger Games and thought it was excellent! Would definitely see it again, and looking forward to MockingJay next.
Alright there is a quick update for ya!! Again congrats to Emily for winning the bracket challenge
